DIRECTOR & VICE CHAIR

Suman is the Communications Manager at the Tipping Point Community. She joined Pangea's Board in July 2016.

Suman’s work is grounded in a commitment to social justice, with a particular passion for immigrant and justice-involved communities. She brings nearly 10 years of communications expertise to her role on Pangea's board. At Tipping Point, Suman works on communications, storytelling, and events centered on advancing poverty-fighting solutions across the Bay Area.

As the daughter of immigrants, Suman has always felt a personal connection to the strength and struggle of those from immigrant communities. Suman is inspired by Pangea's impact and approach to protect and defend the right to move for all, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside her fellow dedicated board members and with Pangea's amazing staff.  

Suman holds a BA in Community Studies from UC Santa Cruz.  A longtime Bay Area resident, she has previously worked in direct youth services and legal organizations focused on criminal justice reform.
