Shelby Malvoso, Director | Financial Secretary (CPA, Donna Cohen)

Shelby is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), specializing in nonprofit accounting.  As one of Pangea's early board members, Shelby served the organization as an advisory member prior to joining the board of directors starting in 2013.  

Shelby currently works as a CPA at Donna Cohen, a firm designed to provide accounting services for the nonprofit sector.  At Donna Cohen, Shelby prepares monthly financial statements for over a dozen nonprofit organizations, prepares annual returns, and consults on accounting-related projects.

Prior to joining her current firm, Shelby worked in the accounting department at CompassPoint Nonprofit Services as a financial analyst and bookkeeper. It was at CompassPoint that she realized the need in the local community for accountants knowledgeable to the specifics of nonprofit accounting.  This and her desire to pursue social justice led Shelby to gain her CPA license, specializing in nonprofit accounting.  She received her B.A. in Business Economics from U.C. Santa Barbara and her Masters in Accounting from Golden Gate University.
